✍🏻 I’m sure there are nostalgic people like me who still carry a notepad/agenda and a pen to take notes.

But what about when we don’t have these with us? This is where our phones and computers, which we never let go of and are almost addicted to, come to our rescue..

I’ve tried many apps so far. While some made me happy, some honestly left me wondering, ‘What is this?’.

Among the many apps I’ve tried, I want to share with you the top 7 I’ve chosen.

If you’re ready, a little app journey is waiting for you!

Google Keep

1. Google Keep— Notes and Lists

First of all, I must say that it’s one of my favorite apps.

This application makes it easy to take notes on everything, from texts to photos. While on the move, you can even record voice notes, and the app automatically transcribes your voice into text.

Organized as digital sticky notes, the app allows you to assign different colors to each note for easier visual identification. Additionally, you can add separate reminders to each note and include information such as the date, time, and location you want to remember.

Moreover, you can invite other users (via email) to collaborate on notes together. The notes can be organized with tags and can also be directly copied to Google Docs.

Evernote

2. Evernote — Note Editor

Evernote is loved by many people and considered one of the best applications, but it is also disliked by some users.

One of the strong points of Evernote is its availability on nearly every platform, and the seamless synchronization across all your devices.

Additionally, features like searching for text within images and sharing notes with other users are praised and seen as advantages of the application. The ability to search for text within images, in particular, is a helpful feature in various scenarios.

However, one of the major drawbacks perceived by users is the requirement to purchase a premium subscription to access many of its features..

Todoist

3. Todoist: To-Do List and Reminder

Are you someone who loves preparing to-do lists and checking off tasks as you complete them? Then this app is perfect for you!

Todoist works seamlessly on almost every brand and device. Moreover, according to its official website, it can integrate with many other applications (such as Dropbox, Google Apps, etc.). After writing your to-do reminders, you can add various labels to them and share them with other people.

Simplenote

4. Simplenote

If you want a note-taking app that makes note-taking extremely practical and eliminates unnecessary clutter, Simplenote might be just right for you. With its minimal interface, the app is designed for speed and efficiency.

You can find the essential organizational features you truly need, create as many notes as you want, and keep everything well-organized.

Thanks to its synchronization with the cloud, you can use the app on multiple devices, making it ideal for quickly jotting down information like shopping lists that come to mind. However, some users may find it too simplistic due to the lack of media embedding and having only one font option.

Microsoft OneNote

5. Microsoft OneNote: Idea Saving and Note Editing

If you are a regular Microsoft Office user, this app is easily accessible on your computer. Moreover, you can use it through a web browser and download it on your phone.

If you enjoy taking notes with drawings, syncing across your devices, and sharing your notes, this app will be the perfect choice for you.

However, it’s important to mention that it lacks quick customization through tags for simple organization, and its search function might not be as efficient as that of Evernote or Google Keep.

Remember The Milk

6. Remember The Milk

“Remember The Milk” is a smart reminder app that stands out with its name. It claims to be designed for busy individuals.

With its name and logo, “Remember The Milk” is quite different from other apps. Its vision aligns so well with its name that it can truly convince users of its effectiveness at first glance.

The app integrates with many platforms, including Twitter, and can be used on various devices, browsers, tablets, and even smartwatches.

If you’re tired of dull and colorless apps and looking for a colorful and fun application, “Remember The Milk” will definitely be very useful to you.

Milanote

7. Milanote

I saved my favorite for last! ❤️

Among note-taking apps, Milanote is a relatively new addition that aims to surpass note-taking clutter and elevate the note-taking experience to a more visual dimension, creating a unique difference.

Milanote introduces a fresh perspective by combining elements from Trello, MindNote, and Google Keep. It adopts a card-based approach, similar to Google Keep and Trello, where notes are organized within cards. However, it sets itself apart by presenting these cards in a board layout, allowing users to move them freely within the board. Moreover, Milanote incorporates features similar to MindNote, enabling users to establish connections between various elements on the board.

In addition to its visual emphasis, Milanote also facilitates collaboration and note sharing. Users can invite colleagues to collaborate on the same board, grant different permissions, or generate read-only links to share their note board. Furthermore, the app offers exporting options, allowing users to export the created boards in formats like Word, PDF, Markdown, and Plain Text.

Overall, Milanote brings a fresh and innovative approach to note-taking, making it a promising option for those seeking to enhance their note-taking experience in a more visual and organized manner.
